Renaissance Theaterworks presents the 11th annual Br!NK New Play Festival on May 17 and 18, 2025, at the Baumgartner Center for Dance. Featuring two talented local playwrights, Maria Pretzl and Cara Johnston, the festival showcases full-length staged readings of their works, along with short ten-minute plays known as Br!NK Br!EFS. Audiences will enjoy Pretzl's Naked Tuesdays, which explores the lives of three people sharing a New York City apartment, and Johnston's Great White Throne, a dramatic encounter between a pastor’s wife and an unexpected visitor. This festival aims to support women-identifying playwrights from the Midwest and fosters audience engagement through post-performance discussions.
