Buyer & Cellar centers on Alex, an out-of-work actor who takes on a unique job in the underground shopping mall of Barbra Streisand's Malibu home. As he spends his days tending to the bizarre inventory, his routine changes dramatically when Streisand herself decides to visit. Directed by Ray Jivoff and featuring Doug Clemons, this comedy explores themes of fame, identity, and the sometimes absurd nature of employment in the entertainment industry. The play is a humorous and heartfelt reflection on the strange connections between celebrity culture and personal ambition.
