Steel Magnolias at Birmingham Village Players

Truvy is the owner of Truvy’s Beauty Spot, where the gossip flows as freely as the hairspray. You’ll meet six women from a small Louisiana town who gather in the sanctuary of a beauty salon to share their laughter, tears, and friendship. Join BVP March 14 - 30, 2025 as we peel back the layers of Southern charm to reveal the strength and grace of these women, whose roots run deep and whose spirits blossom even in the face of life’s toughest challenges.

The cast includes Leah Louis-Ferdinand as Annelle, Rachel Biber as Truvy, Clairee is Sue Chekaway, Shelby is Bridget Hillyer, Andrea Krass McDonald as M'Lynn, and Ouiser is played by Margaret (Maggie) Gilkes.

Steel Magnolias by Robert Harling runs March 14-30, 2025. Thursday, Friday and Saturday shows begin at 8PM. Sunday matinees start at 2PM.  Steel Magnolias is presented by special arrangement with Broadway Licensing, LLC servicing the Dramatists Play Service collection.
