Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida closes its 25/26 season with the Spring Gala, a program of neoclassical and classical works celebrating artists from around the world. The evening features Danzón, choreographed by Yanis Pikieris to music by Arturo Márquez, alongside Shostakovich Suites and a Pas de Deux from La Traviata, both choreographed by Vladimir Issaev. Cuban choreographer Alberto Méndez collaborates with Issaev to restage Tarde en la Siesta, originally performed at the Metropolitan Opera House and the Ballet Nacional de Cuba, set to recordings by Ernesto Lecuona. The program concludes with the U.S. premiere of Polovtsian Dances, from Alexander Borodin's opera Prince Igor, featuring a company of 32 dancers in Issaev's choreography.
