The Smash Broadway Revival Of HAIR Opens At The Arsht May 31st!

The 2009 Tony Award Winning Musical Revival HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical,is coming to South Florida. HAIR will play the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts from May 31 - June 5 and Broward Center for the Performing Arts from June 7 - 19. Tickets for HAIR are available now at www.arshtcenter.org or www.browardcenter.org.
AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY Auditions At The Waterfront Playhouse

The Waterfront Playhouse announced auditions for 'August: Osage County,' the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning play, which will be part of the 2011/12 season. Auditions will be held Tuesday, May 31, 5 to 8 pm at the Waterfront Playhouse. Production dates for the show are scheduled for December 20, 2011 to January 14, 2012, with rehearsals beginning sometime early November.
Al Pacino to Make Appearance at Ruth Eckerd Hall, 5/31

The Stage Door Theatre has announced their summer shows, including a musical for their new venue in North Miami Beach. In Theatre 1 in Coral Springs will be the play 'Crossing Delancey'; in the Theatre 2, the musical 'Song Man, Dance Man', and in Miami at the at it's new location at the Byron Carlyle Theatre will be last season's long running hit, 'Suds'.

This season's theme of 'family' is kicked off with the Bard's triumphant family history, Henry V, adapted and directed by Ronald Mangravite, running August 26 - September 11, 2011. Henry V, the final play about the reigning family crown, chronicles King Henry V's war with France over land and titles. As part of the National New Play Network's Continued Life for New Plays Fund and in conjunction with Actors Theatre of Louisville's Humana Festival in Kentucky and Actor's Express Theatre in Atlanta, New Theatre presents the rolling World Premiere of Edith Can Shoot Things and Hit Them by recent Yale Playwrighting graduate A. Rey Pamatmat and directed by THE NEW's Artistic Director, Ricky J. Martinez, running October 14 - 30, 2011.

Orlando Shakespeare Theater's Artistic Director, Jim Helsinger, announced the final two plays of the Signature Series 2011-2012 Season. The regional premiere of God Of Carnage, Yasmina Reza's 2009 Tony Award-Winning comedy of grownups behaving badly will run from October 12 - November 13, 2011 in the Goldman Theater. While the Orlando premiere of Red, John Logan's electrifying new drama about artist Mark Rothko that won six 2010 Tony Awards including Best Play, will conclude the series.
