Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Nilo Cruz will present 'Theatre Accompanied by Light: Searching for Poetry in the Theatre' on Thursday, September 15th at 7:00 pm in the Storer Auditorium on the Coral Gables campus at the University of Miami.

At the age of 13 she decided she was going to be a jazz singer and since then she has traveled the world with a song in her heart and a microphone in hand. The chanteuse will highlight stories of love, life, and friendship through her favorite Broadway Show Tunes and the Great American Songbook. The show will feature James W. Crumbly, Jr. on piano and guest vocalist Natalie Symons.

We see them first deal with the aftermath of war, transition to a tremendous business success and continue forward dealing with their son in the Vietnam era. Mr. White's razor sharp script illuminates an understanding of marriage reminiscent of the classic American writers Arthur Miller and Eugene O'Neil.
