The hit family comedy Our SOn'S Wedding will close August 14. The "satisfyingly funny" play about an Italian-American plumber (played by Paul D'Amato) and his wife (played by Marina Re) who are bickering about their son's wedding (Michael Kevin Baldwin)-to another man (Gil Brady). Complications ignite in a humorous story of a family that needs to let go of the past and look toward a new beginning.

Critics and audiences have been raving since OUR SON'S WEDDING opened on Friday, July 10 in the Gompertz Theatre, as part of FST's Summer Season. Audience members are getting into the wedding spirit, saying the "acting as spectacular," "this play is hilarious and so enjoyable," and "very smart and funny." Area critics have said OUR SON'S WEDDING "is truly hilarious, as issues of love and marriage lead to issues of letting go and moving on," (SRQ Magazine) and "touching...spiritedly directed" (SCENE Magazine).

Known as Sarasota's Contemporary Theatre, Florida Studio Theatre was founded in 1973 by Jon Spelman. Starting out as a small touring company, FST traveled to places such as migrant camps and prisons.
