FIU THEATRE presents Nilo Cruz's Pulitzer Prize winning play, ANNA IN THE TROPICS October 5th through the 15th.

The production is directed by Wayne E. Robinson, Jr. and will take place on the University Park Campus of FIU in the Wertheim Performing Arts Center Studio Theatre. Showtimes are 8:00pm Thursday through Saturday, and 2:00pm on Sunday. Tickets are $10.00 for General Admission and $8.00 for Senior Citizens and FIU Students.

ANNA IN THE TROPICS is a poignant and poetic play set in Florida in 1929 in a Cuban–American cigar factory, where cigars are still rolled by hand and "lectors" are employed to educate and entertain
the workers. When the handsome young lector in our play chooses to read from Tolstoy's famous novel of adultery, ANNA KARENINA, life in the cigar factory is forever altered as "life" soon imitates art.
