Shakespeare on the Deck has announced it's mergence with Foolish Production Co, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization in Los Angeles, CA. In this second act, the company seeks to expand upon it's mission for inclusive and accessible productions and programming.
This Halloween, Director Mikey Mulhearn and Intimacy/Fight Director Celina Surniak transform the space beneath EverBar into an arena of death. Laced with opaque tarp, horrific acts of violence, and inspired by classic Hollywood horror films- Shakespeare on the Deck brings you closer than ever to one of the Bard's most experimental works.
Closing out Series 2, Shakes on the Deck promises to deliver a Titus like no other. Inspired by Classic Hollywood Horror and remaining true to their communally immersive aesthetic- the company will present the show in an exclusive 4 performance run beginning on Halloween night. Casting to be announced at a later date.
This past Wednesday, Shakes on the Deck announced Series 3 during their one year anniversary celebration- and they have a lot to celebrate. The company announced a new era that begins with the closing show of Series 2, Titus Andronicus. An era that will be bigger, better, and evolved- while staying true to the company's unique aesthetic and eclectic home, The Kimpton Everly Hotel.
