It’s Dodie and Vita’s anniversary again. And this year’s celebration feels an awful lot like last year’s. And the year before that. In this sexy new play from Harrison David Rivers (author of last season’s we are continuous), one couple asks: how do you keep things hot when it’s all been done before?

Marti Gobel
Vita
A San Diego, California native, Marti Gobel is an Actor, Director and a John F. Kennedy trained Teaching Artist (with a focus on Effective Residency and Lesson Planning). She is a proud member of AEA and SAG-AFTRA. Ms. Gobel currently serves as Producing Artistic Director for OnWord Theatre in San Diego. She has performed routinely for every Equity house in Wisconsin in a variety of roles from Shakespeare to Morrisseau. Her critically acclaimed directing style has deepened her relationship with many theatre companies across the nation. Marti Gobel is a Jeff Award Nominee and recipient of a Black Excellence Award for Outstanding Direction of Is God Is by Alesha Harris. San Diego credits include works with OnWord Theatre, Cygnet Theatre, Moxie Theatre, Scripps Ranch Theatre, La Jolla Playhouse and Diversionary Theatre. Ms Gobel is thrilled to return to this phenomenal company and the artists who make it feel like home.
Summer Broyhill
Dodie
Summer Broyhill (she/her) is an actor, dancer, singer, educator, and writer. She has performed on Broadway (Hairspray), National tours (Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella, Hairspray), Off-Broadway, and in numerous regional productions including Amiens in As You Like It (Old Globe), Cathy in The Last Five Years (Virginia Stage Company, Weathervane), Jane in Tarzan (Tuacahn), Lilli/Katharine in Kiss Me, Kate opposite Davis Gaines (concert), and Sandy in Tootsie (Moonlight Stage). Her solo play “DREAM Lover” debuted at the San Francisco Solo Play Festival in 2022. She is a proud fourth-year member of the Playground-LA Writers Incubator, where seven of her short plays have been produced with two, “Glue” and “Thirteenth Night”, winning the People’s Choice Award. Her play “Every Blow” was included in the “Best of 2025” performance and is currently being made into a film. Sherri Eden Barber (Director) is a director, Artistic Director of Ricochet Collective, and former Resident Director of Hamilton (And Peggy Company). Recent productions: Tiny Beautiful Things with Nia Vardalos (Pasadena Playhouse), To Let Go and Fall (Theater Latté Da), Esperanza Spalding’s Emily’s D+Evolution (Development on European Tour), Happily After Ever (Ricochet Collective – 59E59, Edinburgh Fringe Festival), good friday (The Flea Theater), Only You Can Prevent Wildfires (Ricochet Collective – Teatro Circulo), Gordy Crashes (Ricochet Collective – IRT), Mr. Landing Takes A Fall (The Flea), Herman Kline’s Midlife Crisis (The Beckett), 24 Hour Plays on Broadway with Pablo Schreiber, Laverne Cox, and Melanie Griffith (American Airlines Theatre). McKenna Perry
Scenic Designer
McKenna Perry discovered her passion for scenic design while attending California State University, Chico, where she earned a degree in Theatre Arts with an emphasis in Gender Studies (and almost double minors in Applied Computer Graphics and Political Science—but who’s counting?!). She then moved to New York City, where she worked as a Draftsperson and Project Manager at Konduit, Inc., a set fabrication company based in Queens, where she managed and drafted productions for television, film, theatre, and events, culminating in nearly 400 completed projects before returning to California seven years later to earn her MFA in Design and Technology for Theatre, Television, and Film from San Diego State University in 2023. After graduating, McKenna moved to Las Vegas, NV to work with Blue Heron Homes, a luxury custom home fabricator, as the Manager of Design Execution in the Interior Design Division before returning to San Diego to continue to pursue theatre. Now, the Director of Production at Diversionary Theatre, McKenna brings extensive experience in design, project management, and storytelling to the incredible productions expected from Diversionary.
Hunter Kaczorowski
Costume Designer
Hunter Kaczorowski is an artist, illustrator, designer, master chef, animal-lover, coffee enthusiast, and uncle. He is also a proudly left-handed-queer-Jewish-Virgo. He splits his time between New York City and San Diego. He is also the co-creative director of the Deadstock Outfitters, a sustainable apparel line with a mission of upcycling vintage home textiles into contemporary garments. www.deadstockoutfitters.com
Annelise Salazar
Lighting Designer
Annelise Salazar is a San Diego-based designer by way of Los Angeles. Her most recent work includes: Merry Me at Diversionary Theatre, On Her Shoulders at TuYo Theatre, Desert Rock Garden at New Village Arts, Mother of the Maid at Moxie, San Diego Ballets Giselle, and Assistant Lighting Designer on Water by the Spoonful at Cygnet Theatre.
