A modern, absurdist re- telling of Sherlock Holmes' adventures. Dive into mystery and fun with Ms Holmes & Ms Watson in this live, quirky staged reading investigating Kate Hamill's text. In this alternate universe Holmes and Watson are women in their late twenties navigating a post-covid world.
With clever twists and witty banter, this play is a farcical celebration of awkward British humor and our jestful relationship with are American cousins across the pond. As well as a wonderful amalgamation of Sir Athur Conan Doyle's Novels and Short Stories, a celebration of the rich heritage surrounding Sherlock Holmes, from espionage, silly disguises, to a tangible progression in the world of forensic science.
Harriet Bridgwater, a British actress and director set out to bring Kate Hamill's extraordinarly accurate representation of Britishness in front of an intimate American audience to explore in a wonderously low budget, indie way.
Lola Darzens a writer, director and actress from France, plays the marvellously eccentric Shirley Holmes with flare, and a hilarious neuroticism. Whilst American Katherine Swick complements her effortlessly with physical comedy balanced with real emotional depth and groundedness.
Niek Verstaag, an accomplished British actor exhibits his skills in regional British accents and is a sincere vessel for self-depricating humour, which is the essence of British wit.
Harriet Bridgwater another accomplished British actress portrays Irene Adler with a devillish charm and transforms character using her variety of regional British accents to play the sickly sweet Ms Drebber and the chronically stressed out Mrs Hudson.
