Singularities and Safety Pins is a solo show written and performed by Carmella Riley and directed by Jennifer Green, presented by Sonder Theatre Company and Astro Lab Productions. A woman uses humor and science to navigate a look back at her mother's battle with cancer, exploring themes of grief, loss, and the perils of motherhood. Originally developed at Piven Theatre Workshop and following a sold-out run in Chicago and a tour to Seattle, this is the Los Angeles premiere. The production brings together a women-led creative team from Los Angeles, Chicago, and Seattle, with Matthew Herrmann serving as production manager.
