Roz is everybody’s most passionate theater friend, constantly promoting her next play. What makes her special? She’s lives in medieval times and might just be the first ever woman playwright. After presenting her new brazen sex comedy to the most important critic of all—the Roman Emperor—and getting panned, Roz is catapulted into a time-warping journey through contemporary, though still medieval, Hollywood. From “me too” to “times up” to the metaverse and beyond, Roz begins to understand that home is where the art is.

In the spirit of “Her Vision, Her Voice," the focus of Skylight Theatre Company’s 40th season includes Elizabeth Dement’s No Place Like Gandersheim, directed by Randee Trabitz with an all-female creative and production team. This is the second of three new plays being offered by female playwrights and directors this year.

Starring Jamey Hood, Lauren Gaw, Charrell Mack, Shannon Holt.

Review: THE SANDWICH MINISTRY at Skylight Theatre
June 13, 2024 The Sandwich Ministry is an intimate, small town story. It is about faith, smelly church centers, natural disasters, loss, sandwich fixings, and the struggle to find meaning and community.  Playwright Miranda Rose Hall celebrates the unassuming, rich beauty of female friendship and the things that keep us going when everything else falls apart.
