Stage veteran and Canadian Comedy Award nominee Anne Marie Scheffler brings her acclaimed one-woman live comedy show to Los Angeles! 'MILF Life Crisis' mirrors Scheffler's real-life emotional upheaval: just as she was set to get her post-baby career on track, her husband suddenly asked for a divorce after a decade of blissful marriage. Which of course led to the ensuing mayhem of becoming a single mom needing to rebuild (and juggle) her personal, professional, and dating life. No. Easy. Feat.
At its heart, the message behind 'MILF Life Crisis' is "the best is yet to come," which isn't exactly your first thought when you're facing a divorce, worried about your age, and questioning your self-worth. "It’s really an optimistic comedy about love," Scheffler says. "Old love releasing soul contracts, new love that’s just for sex and healing, the true love of your friends, the love of your children, and most importantly, self-love."
Anne Marie Scheffler is an award-winning actress, writer, voice artist and comedian. She has created and toured eight one-woman shows across North America. Her fifth show, Not Getting It, was turned into a one-hour comedy special for national Canadian television. (CTV and The Comedy Network.)
Anne Marie is a Second City alumna, with a long list of film and television credits. She's also the co-writer and co-star of 'Spank! The Fifty Shades Parody,' which played to sold-out crowds in over 60 cites across The US and Canada, including Montreal's Just For Laughs and L.A.’s Nokia Center. Her live comedy album can be found on iTunes and can be heard on Sirius Radio XM.
