Love Among the Ruins at PowPAC, Poway's Community Theatre

The setting is London during the 1930s, where Jessica Medlicott, once a great stage actress who is now a wealthy widow, is being sued for “breach of promise” by her ex-fiancé, a handsome, much younger Naval officer. Desperate to protect what is left of her Depression Era-ravaged estate, she turns to highly-respected barrister Sir Arthur Granville-Jones to defend her in court, apparently not remembering that he was a former lover. Sparks fly when Sir Arthur agrees to take Jessica’s case, despite her insistence that they have never met, as she is the only woman the confirmed old bachelor has ever loved.
