Le Ballet Jazz Noir at Avalon Hollywood

Luminario Ballet presents premieres and revivals from artistic directors Judith FLEX Helle and Damien Diaz, alongside guest choreographers Jackie Sleight, Adrian Hoffman, and aerial choreographer Dreya Weber. Highlights include Helle's exploration of women's bodies set to music by Alice Coltrane and Queen, Diaz's film noir dance theatre piece inspired by Edward Hopper's Night Hawks performed to Stravinsky's Ebony Concerto, Sleight's El Gato Triste featuring the full cast, Hoffman's Voodoo Mama, and a sensual aerial duet by Weber and Shannon Beach set to Miles Davis. The evening also honors Allen Walls, Executive Director of the World Choreography Awards.
