Crossing Open Ground features the immersive work of composer John Luther Adams, conducted by Christopher Roundtree and directed by Dimitri Chamblas. Set in the historic Elysian Park, this performance includes musicians from the USC Thornton School of Music and the Los Angeles Philharmonic, exploring themes of environmental contemplation and community connection. As part of the Body and Sound festival, the piece encourages a multisensory experience of music through walking and listening, allowing each participant to rediscover their sense of place.
