Before It's Too Late at Outside In Theatre

Dates: 9/15/2026 - 10/6/2026

📍 Theatre: Outside In Theatre

Share
A deeply personal and comedic new work written and performed by Ecuadorian-American storyteller Christopher Moncayo-Torres and directed by Bernardo Cubría. Blending live storytelling, family history, improvisation and cooking, the show follows Moncayo-Torres as he attempts to better understand and be understood by his parents, Abel Torres and Nancy Moncayo, who join him onstage and via video from Ecuador. The barriers between them are both literal and emotional, rooted in language, geography and history, as the family searches for connection and care. Food becomes another language between mother and son as Christopher attempts to prepare one of Nancy's recipes live for the audience.
