Another Reason Not To Go at Moving Arts

Gabby (played by Emily Blokker-Dalquist) grew up with her mother, stepfather, and stepbrothers in Colorado Springs: mega church capital of The United States. For all intents and purposes, they were a happy, blended, christian family. However, when her brother Hunter (played by Jason Radovan) brings home from college an even more evangelical, dogmatic ideology to the family, Gabby’s stepfather’s abusive tendencies become more pronounced. In an attempt to save her mother from the abuse, Gabby moves her out of the house, leaving behind her stepfather and stepbrothers without so much as a note. Time passes: Gabby moves to New York, she goes to law school, she gets engaged to the love of her life Autumn (played by Nena Martins), and her step father takes his own life. It’s only after 4 years of no contact that she receives a surprising invitation in the mail to her younger brother Lake’s (Played by Andrew Brown) wedding. Gabby must decided whether or not to face her old life, her old religion, and confront what she’s been missing all these years.
