The Perfect Play for our 250th asks: What Price Freedom? -ShowMag
One Bed. Two Founding Fathers. The Fate of a Nation.
With war looming, Benjamin Franklin and John Adams attempt a covert peace negotiation with Britain. Forced to share a bed on the eve of the talks, one of America's most enlightened pragmatists and one of its most insufferable realists find their greatest obstacle is not the Crown, but each other. As the fate of a new nation hangs in the balance, whose vision of freedom will prevail? In this world premiere by Tony Blake, the wit, fire, and restless brilliance of these founding fathers illuminate the question: What is the true price of independence?
Just in time for the United States 250th birthday, Moving Arts Theatre announces a return engagement of What Price Freedom, written by Tony Blake, directed by Darin Anthony, starring Rob Nagle as Benjamin Franklin and Brandon Bales as John Adams.
Produced by Dana Schwartz & Laura Buckles, What Price Freedom’s creative team includes Set & Lighting Design by Justin Huen, Sound Design by Warren Davis, Costume Design by Mylette Nora, and Props Design by Dana Schwartz.
Performances are July 3- July 20 on Friday, Saturday, Monday at 8 PM and Sunday at 4 PM.
