Among Neighbors is a documentary by filmmaker Yoav Potash that uses animation and traditional documentary techniques to examine a small rural town in Poland where people of two faiths lived side by side for centuries until the killing began. The film reveals the murder of Holocaust survivors in Poland six months after the end of World War II, uncovering both love and betrayal in a crime committed among neighbors. An award winner at multiple festivals including the San Francisco Independent Film Festival and the Warsaw Jewish Film Festival, it was named Best Documentary at the Los Angeles Film Awards and won a 2026 Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with filmmaker Yoav Potash and writer and literary curator Louise Steinman.
