There's just one month left to vote for the 2018 BroadwayWorld Long Island Awards, brought to you by BroadwayHD! Nominations were reader-submitted and now our readers are already setting records as they vote for their favorites. Regional productions, touring shows, and more are all included in the awards, honoring productions which opened between October 1, 2017 through September 30, 2018. Our local editors set the categories, our readers submitted their nominees, and now you get to vote for your favorites! Voting will continue through December 31st, 2018.
All New Stand-Up All Star Comedy Comes to Bay Street Theater, Today

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to announce an evening of all new All Star Stand-up Comedy just in time for Thanksgiving weekend today, November 24 at a special time of 9:30 pm. Tickets are $30 when purchased in advance and $40 when purchased the day of the event; on sale now at baystreet.org or by calling the Box Office at 631-725-9500. The Box Office is open Tuesday- Today 11 am - 5 pm or until showtime.

Theatre Three's 35th annual production of the iconic Charles Dickens tale A Christmas Carol has certainly become a beautiful tradition on Long Island. Even with slight changes throughout the years, this ageless production is as spectacular as ever. Jeffrey Sanzel, the Artistic Director of the Port Jefferson venue, directs the dazzling play running through December 29th.

A youthful troop of multitalented professionals tell the familiar story of the sensitive monster banished from society who charms its way into those with accepting and loving hearts. No not Elphaba from Wicked nor Shrek or The Elephant Man, but Quasimodo, the underdog locked in the cathedral who spends his life dreaming of a better one.

Let the bells peal!  Ring in the holidays with a classic tale.  Long Island's newest theatrical venue The Argyle Theatre (Mark and Dylan Perlman, Managing Partners; Evan Pappas, Artistic Director) presents the musical The Hunchback of Notre Dame, based on the novel by Victor Hugo and songs from the Disney film originally developed by Disney Theatrical Productions, with music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, and book by Peter Parnell.  Performances began November 8, 2018 for a limited engagement through Sunday, December 30, 2018 at The Argyle Theatre (34 West Main Street, Babylon, Long Island).   Opening Night is TONIGHT, Saturday evening, November 10, 2018 at 8:00PM.

If so, this all-day workshop will fill the bill. Led by Moth Radio Hour storyteller Tracey Segarra, this fun, interactive primer will teach you the basics of effective storytelling using exercises to help uncover your own stories. Everyone will leave with at least one good idea for a story to develop to tell friends, family or on a stage.
