Bay Street Theatre Sets HARBORFEST for 9/14 & 15

Bay Street Theatre announced three HarborFest Weekend events taking place today, Sept. 14 and 15. Plans include the screening of the classic Clark Gable film IT HAPPENED ONE NIGHT tonight, Sept. 14 at 8 pm; $5 at the door. A free community event takes place in the afternoon with a screening of the documentary film JOYOUS GARDE, about John Steinbeck's time in Sag Harbor, on Saturday, Sept. 15 from 12 pm - 4 pm. Then later that evening at 8 pm, see Nancy Atlas live in concert. Tickets are $15 per person available at the door.

By English playwright Michael Frayn, NOISES OFF follows the on and off-stage antics of an acting troupe as they stumble from bumbling a dress rehearsal to a disastrous closing night. CM Performing Arts Center presents the show from tonight, September 14-30, 2012.

Long Island's Creative Ministries Performing Arts Center (CM PAC), now in its 25th year, will be presenting Madison Square Garden's version of A Christmas Carol come December. As a former employee (MANY years ago) of the theatre that merged with CM PAC, I was thrilled when director Tim Pappalardo asked me to watch the process of putting this show together. I'll be attending casting, a read through, going to Tech, and opening night with the many CM vets expected to be in this production.

On Tuesday, August 14 at the Bethpage office, Kevin O'Neill, Managing Director and Co-Owner of the John W. Engeman Theater and Marty Rubin Director of Sales from the theater, along with Larry Trivigno, AVP Business Development and Melissa Pagdanganan, Corporate Communications Relations Manager from Bethpage Federal Credit Union, presented a check to Theresa Regnante, President & CEO United Way of Long Island. They raised the money through ticket sales at the John W. Engeman Theater at Northport using a special 'BETHPAGE' promotional code.

Bay Street Theatre has announced Chris Bauer, a member of the Bay Street Theatre Board of Trustees, as Campaign Chair for the 2012 Annual Appeal. The Annual Appeal is used to raise funds to help support the theatre's Educational Programs which could not exist otherwise through ticket sales alone.
