TITLE: Head Treasurer
REPORTS TO: Box Office Manager
STATUS: Full-Time/Non-Exempt
RATE: $37.23 Hourly (I.A.T.S.E. Local B-18)

POSITION PURPOSE:
American Conservatory Theater seeks a patient, empathetic and detail-oriented individual to assist patrons, staff, and company with ticketing and customer service needs, as well as provide general information about A.C.T. programs, products, initiatives, and productions. The Head Treasurer will assist with team leadership, while proactively identifying and addressing team and patron needs and issues. The Head Treasurer will be expected to model exemplary service, composure, and professionalism while embodying the welcome that is core to A.C.T.’s mission.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ticket Services & Customer Experience
- Provide excellent customer service to all A.C.T. patrons, staff, students, and visiting artists as the public face of the company.
- Work in the Ticket Services office as well as our two performance venue box offices, providing ticketing support in-person, over the phone and via email.
- Sell and exchange single and subscription tickets to A.C.T. events and rentals using our ticketing software (Tessitura).
- Provide technical support and guidance to patrons using the A.C.T. website.
Team Coordination & Core Duties
- Act as lead point-person during show shifts, including preparation for window service and coordinating team effort during load-ins (will call).
- Work closely with IT, Finance, and Director of Ticket Services to:
o Reconcile cash banks and receipts for daily sales
o Balance and close shows
o Manage and balance of 3rd-party ticket sales
- Coordinate internal staff and company ticket requests, including presence at company orientations and maintenance of Microsoft forms.
- Assist with daily/weekly maintenance of box office software, including phone tree, outgoing emails, and ticketing software.
- Assist the Box Office Manager with staff scheduling and other special projects.
Organizational Support
- Foster interdepartmental communication and collaboration in the interest of patron and artist experience.
- Observe, collect, and share patron feedback.
- Attend performances, training sessions, company meetings, and other events/functions as scheduled across three SF campuses.
- General office work, including packaging tickets, gift certificates, program inserts, and other materials for distribution, mail, and will-call.
- Other duties as needed.

- Ticketing experience and familiarity with ticketing software (we use Tessitura) is a plus.
- Experience in customer service and team leadership is a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Job requires the use of sight to read computer monitors and ticket envelopes, the use of hands OR personal adaptive technology to type quickly, distribute tickets, and perform office tasks, requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time, and ability to climb stairs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & BENEFITS:
The Box Office is open 7 days a week - all shifts are in-person at our San Francisco campuses. Transit between campuses (up to ~1 mile) will be required for some shifts. Candidates for this position should have flexible availability – regular evenings and weekends will be required. Shifts may vary seasonally.
