Teatro Lirico D’Europa performs La Traviata (The Strayed Woman) by Giuseppe Verdi, with libretto by Francesco Maria Piave and based on the play by Alexander Dumas, La Dame Aux Camelias.

“A wonderful performance of Traviata that had the audience on its feet… nothing prepared me for her Violetta. She looked gorgeous…a performance that was truly heartfelt and touching.” -Richard Dyer, former BOSTON GLOBE classical music critic

“The quality of the singing alone at their ‘farewell performance’ should send local impresarios scrambling to find them a new home. It is easy to see why Alfredo would go crazy for the love of her sexy and determined Violetta. [The duets] were moments of true operatic pleasure, to which the audience responded enthusiastically.” -Steve Landrigan, BOSTON MUSICAL INTELLIGENCER

“Throughout the opera, the music conducted by Krassimir Topolov was first-rate. The instrumentals, the sets and the onstage work of Violetta was impeccable, her acting believable. When she was onstage, she compelled attention with her personality, performance and beauty. Her costumes were knockouts as well.” -Bill Townsend, ST. LOUIS CLASSICAL EXAMINER
