A re-imagining of Rodgers & Hammerstein's first and most innovative collaboration. Set in the Oklahoma Territory at the turn of the century, the high-spirited rivalry between the local farmers and cowboys provides a colorful backdrop against which Curly, a handsome cowboy, and Laurey, a winsome farm girl, play out their story chock full of realism, heartache, hard work, love, and tragedy all within the dream of a frontier full of possibility in a brand new state.
