WEST SIDE STORY

Story about the members of the gangs and their girlfriends (Jets and Sharks). The Sharks are a gang of Puerto Rican teens. Latino actors are encouraged to audition.

SEEKING:

Maria: 18+ to play teenager. Lovely young Puerto Rican girl, excited and enthusiastic about her new life in America. Strong soprano. Sister to Bernardo
Tony: 18+ to play teenager. Handsome, older teenager, who has outgrown the Jets and is looking for something more; Strong baritone/tenor.
Riff: 18+ to play teenager. Charismatic, intelligent, streetwise leader of the Jets; Tenor. A strong dancer.
Anita: 18+ to play teenager. Worldly, flashy, sharp-tongued, Puerto Rican girl with a knowing sexuality; Alto/mezzo-soprano. A strong dancer. Girlfriend to Bernardo.
Bernardo: 18+ to play teenager. Handsome, proud Puerto Rican, leader of the Sharks, with a sardonic chip on his shoulder; Baritone. A strong dancer.
