[ROBERT LANGDON] Male identifying, 40s. Charismatic Harvard professor of Religious Symbology who, with this vast knowledge and puzzle-solving brain, races to solve a murderous plot and unravel a centuries-old secret of The Priory of Sion.
[SOPHIE NEVEU] Female identifying, mid 20s to mid 30s. Sophie is the most exciting new addition to the Paris police cryptography department, but also granddaughter to Sauniere and key to the grail mystery. Expert code breaker, brilliant mind, but carries years of sadness.
[SIR LEIGH TEABING] Male identifying, mid 50s to mid 70s. Arguably the world's greatest grail expert. Eccentric, charismatic and charming English gentleman and rhetorician. From the landed gentry, he's had the freedom to make this his life's obsession. Friend of Langdon as a scholar, but he'll do whatever is required to make the grail myth a reality.
[SILAS] Male identifying, early 20s to early 30s. Silas is devout in the most extreme form. An orphan, saved by a Catholic priest, he will do anything to defend the church that saved him. Powerful and imposing, has a lot of stage time, major significance to the plot, but limited dialogue.
[BEZU FACHE] Male identifying, mid 40s to mid 60s. Fache is the best of the Paris police dept, who is close on the heels of Langdon and Sophie. Smart but constantly frustrated by the competence of others, Fache is a realist. He's there to take them down. *may cover Langdon*
[JACQUES SAUNIERE] Male identifying, mid 50s to early 70s. Curator of the Louvre, keeper of the grail secret, grandfather of Sophie - he's the starting point of the whole mystery. Gentle, with deep intelligence but he too is burdened by sorrow. *may cover Teabing*
[SISTER SANDRINE & MARIE] Female identifying, mid 50s to mid 60s. Sister Sandrine is the caretaker of Saint Sulpice in Paris, where the final resting place of the grail might be found. Stoic and resolved, she's ready to die to protect the secret. Marie is Sophie’s Grandmother and is gentle, intelligent, and also burdened by a lifelong secret.
[COLLET] Female identifying, mid 20s to early 30s. Lieutenant and subordinate to Fache, she will do anything to impress him to get up the police ladder. *will most likely u/s Sophie*
[VERNET] Female identifying or Male identifying. early 30s to late 40s. Vernet is the manager of the most unique, secretive and allusive bank in the world. Protecting the grail. He/she is not to be trusted.
[REMY] Male identifying, mid 20s to early 40s. Ambitious, devious, determined and sick of years of being treated as if he was inferior. Remy has clawed his way out of the gutter and is determined not to be kicked back down there.
