SEEKING

Ensemble singers (see breakdown).

PREPARATION

Prepare 16 bars of a pop song from the last 25 years. Bring sheet music. A piano accompanist will be provided. Bring a headshot/resume stapled together.

[JOANNIE HESLOP] Female, 16—18. Muriel’s sister. A female version of Perry and Malcolm, comfortable on the couch watching TV. Able to capture the audience for the delivery of the iconic line “You’re terrible, Muriel.” Also plays various ensemble roles. Alto or mezzo with strong belt. ENSEMBLE—FEATURED

[ABBA – ANNA] Female, 25—35. Comic cliché Swedish accent with excellent comedy chops. Also plays various ensemble roles. Bright pop belt. ENSEMBLE—FEATURED

[ABBA – FRIDA] Female, 25—35. Comic cliché Swedish accent with excellent comedy chops. Also plays various ensemble roles. Darker pop belt. ENSEMBLE—FEATURED

[TANIA – BRIDESMAID] Female, early 20s. The original “Mean Girl,” leader of the bad pack, shallow and influenced by social media and pop culture. Also plays various ensemble roles. Flexible pop mix and belt, riffing skills a plus. ENSEMBLE—FEATURED

[NICOLE – BRIDESMAID] Female, early 20s. Part of the Mean Girl pack, follower, shallow and influenced by social media and pop culture. Also plays various ensemble roles. Flexible pop mix and belt, riffing skills a plus. ENSEMBLE—FEATURED

[CHERYL – BRIDESMAID] Female, early 20s. Part of the Mean Girl pack, follower, shallow and influenced by social media and pop culture. Also plays various ensemble roles. Flexible pop mix and belt, riffing skills a plus. ENSEMBLE—FEATURED
