[GENERAL CARTWRIGHT] –30s-40s, any ethnicity. Mezzo. Business like and in-control, but ready to cut loose.

[BIG JULE] – 30s-40s, any ethnicity. Vocal part TBD. Imposing, tough gangster from Chicago. Intimidating and temperamental. A sore loser. Has undisputed stage presence. May double in the ENSEMBLE. Moves well.

[BENNY SOUTHSTREET] – 30s-40s, any ethnicity. Baritone up to high G. Funny character man. Abbott to Nicely’s Costello. Comfortable engaging with scenic elements in order to “build the environment” (as is central to the concept of this production). Moves well.

[RUSTY CHARLIE] – 30s-40s. any ethnicity. Baritone. Gambler, looking for action wherever he can find it. May double in the ENSEMBLE. Comfortable engaging with scenic elements in order to “build the environment” (as is central to the concept of this production). A very good dancer.

[HARRY THE HORSE, u/s Nathan] – Late 20s-late 30s, any ethnicity. Vocal part: Can be baritone or tenor. Gambler; all talk and little action. Mouthpiece for Big Jule. May double in the ENSEMBLE. A good dancer.

[ANGIE THE OX] – 20s-40s, any ethnicity. Baritone or tenor. A gambler. A bit of a bruiser. Likes a good dice game. May double in the ENSEMBLE. An excellent dancer.

[LIVER LIPS LOUIE & others] – 20s-40s, any ethnicity. Tenor or Baritone. Will double in the ENSEMBLE. An excellent dancer.

[2 MALE IDENTIFYING ENSEMBLE MEMBERS] - 20s-40s, any ethnicities. Tenor or Baritone. Multiple roles in the ENSEMBLE (including CRAPSHOOTERS and HAVANA DANCERS). Excellent dancers.

[1 MALE IDENTIFYING SWING] - 20s-30s. Will cover specific assigned tracks in the show. This is an offstage swing track. An excellent dancer and a good singer with wide vocal range.

[MIMI & others] – 20s-40s. any ethnicity. Any vocal range. One of the Hot Box Girls – a dancer in Adelaide’s revue. Multiple roles in the ENSEMBLE. A very good dancer.

[MARTHA/HOT BOX GIRL/HAVANA DANCER & others] – 20s-30s. any ethnicity. Any vocal range. Member of the Save-a-Soul Mission band. Doubles as a HOT BOX GIRL and Havana Dancer. An excellent dancer.

[AGATHA/HOT BOX GIRL & others, Adelaide u/s] – 20s-40s. any ethnicity. Mezzo. Member of the Save-a-Soul Mission band. Doubles as a HOT BOX GIRL and others. A good dancer.

[2 FEMALE IDENTIFYING ENSEMBLE MEMBERS] - 20s-40s, any ethnicity. Soprano or Alto. Multiple roles in the ENSEMBLE including HOT BOX GIRLS and HAVANA DANCERS. Excellent dancers.
