Equity actors for roles in GIVE ME CARMELITA TROPICANA.

A (and others) - 20s-60s / Female, Latinx (Spanish speaker preferred). Legendary performance artist of the Downtown NYC and queer performance scene. B’s former teacher and mentor, now friend. Familiarity with queer and downtown performance lineages and performance styles is a plus.

B (and others) - 30s/40s / Male, Black. Successful contemporary playwright, gay. A’s former student, now friend. Familiarity with queer and downtown performance lineages and performance styles is a plus.

Carmelita Tropicana - [CAST] 60s / Female, Latinx. A’s infamous alter-ego/persona.

ENSEMBLE (2) (as cast) - 20s/30s / Any gender/ethnicity. Will play a variety of fantastical characters from the works of Carmelita Tropicana. Helpful if Spanish speaker. Strong focus on physical comedy and character work. Familiarity with queer and downtown performance lineages and performance styles is a plus.

All Equity stage manager positions have been filled.
