BREAKDOWN

PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS:
Submissions should be no longer than 5 minutes. At the top of the video, please slate your name, pronouns, and location. Actors may read one or more scenes from the play (production script can be accessed by contacting StageSource - stagesource.org), perform one or two monologues, or prepare a combination of scene(s) and monologues(s) from other sources of their preference. SpeakEasy suggests, if not performing scenes, choosing two contrasting monologues. Tip: If you are using an iPhone to video record, please film horizontally and in a well-lit space (not backlit). Also, make sure we can hear you properly before submitting your tape.

Note: The play takes place in Iran in 2009. All characters are Iranian. Some characters speak Farsi in the piece. Farsi language access a plus.

For pre-cast roles, auditioning performers will be considered as possible (emergency) replacements, should any become necessary.
