Please prepare 16 bars of a traditional musical theatre song that shows your range. Bring sheet music; an accompanist will be provided. Also bring a hard copy headshot and resume, stapled together. All rehearsals prior to sitz and tech will be in NYC.

CAGNEY
Seeking dancers who sing well, with advanced classic movie musical tap ability, for supporting and featured ensemble roles. This is a tap-heavy musical. Principal understudies will be cast internally and from the ensemble.

- [BOB HOPE & OTHERS] — Male identifying character, White, 40s. High-energy, fast-talking entertainer with strong comedic instincts and classic vaudeville charm. Tenor. Advanced tap skills required.
- [JANE & OTHERS] — Female identifying character, Any Race & Ethnicity, 20s–30s. Warner’s assistant. Smart, capable, and dryly funny — the person keeping Warner’s world running. Soprano with belt. Advanced tap skills required.
- [WILLIE CAGNEY & OTHERS] — Female identifying character, White, 30s–early 40s. Cagney’s wife. Strong, confident, quick-witted, and a true match for Cagney in every way. Soprano with belt. Advanced tap skills required.
- [SCHLOTZKI/YUSSIE & OTHERS] — Male identifying character, Any Race & Ethnicity, 30s–40s. Plays a wide range of characters, from a vaudeville impresario to other character roles. Advanced tap skills preferred.
