3 PM – Equity male dancers who sing 151 West 26th Street, 6th Floor

5 PM – Equity female dancers who sing New York City

Please be warmed up and ready to dance, in standard dance attire, when the call begins. Men: Jazz shoes and tap shoes. Women: Character heels and tap heels. Some may be asked to sing after all have danced. Please prepare 16 bars to show your range. Bring sheet music; accompanist provided.

Recreates the fun and the style of the Golden Age of classic Broadway musicals of the 1930s and 1940s. This hilarious, fanciful imagining of the actual life of Aesop tells of how he used his fables to better himself and his fellow man and ultimately become the hero of the greatest fable of all!

Seeking Ensemble:

Three men, three women. Seeking strong singers/dancers to play multiple comic characters. Must tap and dance very well.

Male Singers/Dancers:

Male 1: Sea Captain / Samian Citizen / Lydian Soldier:

Late 20s-30s. Character-type man sought.

Male 2: Olympus Express Delivery Man / Executioner / Samian Citizen / Lydian Soldier:

20s. Young, good-looking.

Male 3: Captain Of The Guard / Sea Captain / Samian Citizen / Lydian Soldier:

30s. Solid, masculine, with authority.

Female Singers/Dancers:

Female 1: Madame Mnemosyne / Fury / Slave Girl / Samian Citizen / Lydian Soldier:

30s-early 40s. Officious, chic Upper East Side dress shop owner. Must sing. Comic timing needed.

Females 2 and 3: Furies / Slave Girls / Samian Citizens / Lydian Soldiers:

Late 20s-early 30s. Sexy.
