Equity actors for roles in ACROSS THE SAND: A PASSOVER THEATRICAL EXPERIENCE (See breakdown). All roles will be understudied.

Northbrook Theatre encourages performers of all ethnicities, gender identities, and ages, as well as performers with disabilities, to audition.

PREPARATION

Please prepare a short (45-60 seconds) poem and 16 bars of a musical theater song or folk song with your instrument. Accompaniment will also be provided. Also, please bring your headshot and resume stapled together.

BREAKDOWN

ACROSS THE SAND: A PASSOVER THEATRICAL EXPERIENCE

Designed for children and families (best for ages 4 to 10 and their families), this immersive theatrical experience will bring the story of Passover to life using performance, live music, and sensory storytelling. Audiences will be seated in the round at long tables, and the action will unfold all around them. The performance includes moments of sensory engagement between the performer and audience members.

Actors should have an interest and/or experience in teaching artistry, experience with children a plus; actors who enjoy collaborative devising and improvisation; and actors who are interested in performing up-close and interacting with audiences as part of the performance experience.

SEEKING:

Six singing actor-musicians. Preferred instrumental experience in acoustic guitar, electric guitar, ukelele, and/or bass.
