BroadStage will present the world premiere of Los Angeles Ballet's Memoryhouse, the first full-length ballet by Melissa Barak as Los Angeles Ballet's new Artistic Director. The ballet will run June 15-17, 2023 at 7:30pm at the Eli and Edythe Broad Stage.

Los Angeles Ballet has announced that Melissa Barak has been appointed as Artistic Director by its Board.  Barak, an accomplished ballet dancer and choreographer, will serve as the first solo artistic director in the Company’s history.

Westside School of Ballet announces long time beloved teacher, Joan Bayley, passed away on January 5th 2022, just shy of her 102nd birthday. Often called “The Greatest Dance Teacher There Ever Was,” the dance world was forever changed for the better because of Joan Bayley. (“Joan.”)

Westside Ballet of Santa Monica announces plans to 'dance forward' on multiple fronts. Presenting an intimate new workshop performance (which ran the weekend of May 15-16) as a private offering for friends and family of the sixty pre-professional performers, the workshop served as a final bow for seniors moving on to collegiate and professional careers.
