The Dallas Opera Guild will present the 23rd annual 'Dallas Opera Guild Vocal Competition,' a showcase for talented young opera singers who either come from Texas or got here 'as fast as they could' on Saturday, May 14, 2011 in the Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House at the AT&T Performing Arts Center, 2403 Flora Street, Dallas, TX 75201.

KVPAC's Encore Players wrap up final rehearsals this week in time to mount Dan Goggin's musical comedy sensation, Nunsense. Directed by Gregory Magyar, this 1986 Outer Critics' Circle Award Winner for Best Off-Broadway Musical will run two weekends, May 13-15 and 20-22, 2011. All shows begin at 8:00pm, except for Sunday's performances which are matinees and will begin at 2:00pm.

Circle in the Square Theatre School (CITSTS), one of the country's premier schools of professional acting training, will hold auditions June 1, June 2 and June 3 for its seven-week Summer Workshop (Acting and Singing), which runs from June 27 to August 12, 2011, and the Professional Two-Year Training Program (Acting and Musical Theatre), which begins its Fall term on September 12.

WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director Terry Martin today announced the Company's 2011-2012 Main Stage season at a special VIP Sneak Preview held at the Addison Theatre Centre. The season opens with the Tony Award-winning musical Spring Awakening (September 30 - October 30, 2011) followed by the return of the popular holiday show Rockin' Christmas Party (November 26 - December 18, 2011, underwritten by Frost Bank). The season continues in early January with The Diary of Anne Frank (January 6 - February 5, 2012), the Tony Award-winning play August: Osage County (March 30 - April 29, 2012), Boeing-Boeing (May 25 - June24, 2012) and Smokey Joe's Café (July 20 - August 19, 2012). The annual Out of the Loop Fringe Festival will be held March 1 - 11, 2012. All productions will be staged at the Addison Theatre Centre at 15650 Addison Road, Addison, Texas 75001.
