The Orange County Performing Arts Center's enormously popular "FREE Movie Mondays" will continue its series of outdoor, big-screen presentations of film classics next summer. Now OCPAC has opened up online voting to help the public select some of the films to be featured for the Center's presentations in 2011.

As a "thank you" to those who submit choices, voters are automatically entered to win a pair of tickets to see YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN on Sunday, September 12.

The series recently concluded on August 9 with the documentary film Mad Hot Ballroom which overwhelmingly won last year's voting race. Other films featured this summer included Some Like It Hot, Dirty Dancing, Oliver!, and The Wizard of Oz. The screenings have gained quite the following, with patrons numbering up to 4,000 viewers. Games are also on hand, awarding winning participants prizes related to some of the Center's current offerings of touring Broadway shows.

The alfresco film series is held on the Center’s community plaza with the films projected on the side of Segerstrom Hall. Guests are encouraged to bring snacks, picnic suppers, and beach chairs or other easily portable seating items to watch the screenings that start at dusk with animated shorts provided by the Newport Beach Film Festival.

According to OCPAC, as of press time, Kenny Ortega's Disney musical Newsies has been receiving the most votes.
