New mother Margery Kemp is having visions - some transcendent, some horrifying - all disruptive to her soul, her marriage, and her village. Set in 1401, Creature explored Margery's quest for sainthood as she wrestles with devils, her own instable appetites, and the basic inconvenience of heavenly visitations when there are babies to feed and a business to run. Comedic with a touch of horror; saintly yet rooted in the business of living playwright, Heidi Schreck transforms Margery's history into a contemporary exploration of faith, the supernatural, and human nature.
