The Cleveland Play House Artistic Director Michael Bloom announces the world premiere production of Thornton Wilder's novel Heaven's My Destination, adapted by award-winning playwright Lee Blessing. The play is the centerpiece of the fourth annual FusionFest, a multidisciplinary performing arts festival.

The Arts Education Department at PlayhouseSquare will welcome hundreds of educators from all over Northeast Ohio to the 16th annual Fair on the Square presented by Huntington Bank on Monday, May 4th from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the State Theatre. At this free arts education and field trip expo, the only event of its kind in Greater Cleveland, educators can network with colleagues and prepare for next school year.

This sweet journey of the heart begins public previews on March 28 and continues through April 26. Young lives intertwine when Raleigh, a recently discharged flyboy with ambitions of becoming a writer, and May, a woman who dreams of doing missionary work, board the same train to Los Angeles in the winter of 1940. They soon come to realize that not only are they headed in a similar direction, but their roots are closer than they could have dreamed.

Victoria Theatre Association's JPMorgan Broadway University program has announced a theatre summer camp, to be held June 16-18, in conjunction with Legally Blonde The Musical. JPMorgan Broadway University has expanded to offer its first summer camp experience, GOING BLONDE, in conjunction with the Chase Broadway Series presentation of Legally Blonde The Musical at the Schuster Center. The camp will run June 16 - 18, from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. each day.

Northeast Ohio talent takes center stage at PlayhouseSquare for the Rising Star Talent Competition on Saturday, March 21 at 12 p.m. Participants of all ages will compete in vocal and dance semi-final competitions to determine which of the 123 acts will move on to the final round at 4 p.m. 'We are excited to give Northeast Ohio's best amateur talent an opportunity to perform onstage at PlayhouseSquare,' stated Colleen Porter, director of arts education for PlayhouseSquare. 'It's great fun for both the competitors and the audience, and it's not about who wins. It's about the experience.'

A multiple Daytony award winning performer, producer, and director, Barbara Coriell is a well known Dayton Playhouse alum who auditioned for - but was not cast in - the Playhouse's first production of Streetcar. She brings to us her talent and expertise in a production of Tennessee Williams most famous play, A Streetcar Named Desire. This play was selected by our audience, as were all of the shows this season, to help us celebrate our 50th anniversary. This will also be the first show which will use our new online ticketing system. This ticketing system is part of the success our fundraising campaign has brought to the Dayton Playhouse, enabling us to bring you another 50 years of great entertainment.

The pressure brought to bear upon her by her sister, with whom she goes to live in New Orleans, intensified by the earthy and extremely 'normal' young husband of the latter, leads to a revelation of her tragic self-delusion and, in the end, to madness.
