Running with Coffee, written and performed by Eileen Byrne, is a one-woman show in which Byrne portrays eleven characters drawn from her own lived experience. The play follows a daughter who opens her home to her separated parents — one living with dementia — as she navigates the emotional and logistical realities of caregiving. Blending humor with poignancy, the work explores memory loss, mental health, and the quiet isolation that can exist within families. Following runs in the Chicago suburbs and New York City, the production comes to Lookingglass Theatre Company's lobby space for two performances only.
