A bizarre but true solo-show that tells the story of how Andrew Breitbart and the far right tried to use a small Chicago theater company to prevent the reelection of President Obama. Written & Performed by Pam Dickler, Directed by Drew Martin.
In 2012, just hours before his death, Andrew Breitbart, creator of Breitbart.com, wrote about Terrapin Theatre’s 1998 production, The Love Song of Saul Alinsky, for which then-State Senator Barack Obama served on a post-play panel. I Killed Andy Breitbart is a timely satirical solo show that unravels the absurdly true story of what happened next, when Terrapin’s producer became the unwitting target in the far-right’s efforts to torpedo the re-election of President Obama. This compelling tale illuminates how quickly an ordinary person can become entangled in a web of social media spin and misperception.
