Las Locas Comedy Presents is back at Lincoln Lodge with a brand new comedy showcase - with a brand new name (formerly known as Women of the Night) - Delightfully Unbothered. Each month, a brand new lineup Chicago’s funniest women over 40 regale audiences as they demystify perimenopause, post-divorce dating, and all the other delightful horrors women born in the 1900s endure. Each show also features an “Honorary Biddy,” or a younger comic to keep us all on trend. When a woman turns a certain age, society tends to discard them, but our show is here to show that aging is a superpower that liberates women from giving any f*cks. And there’s simply no one funnier than a woman with no f*cks left to give. Come see for yourself!

Janice Rodriguez, her first name rhymes with Denise – you can ask her mom, is a Chicago-based entrepreneur and comedian. When she’s not wasting time on an unnecessary spreadsheet or micromanaging others, she performs her unique brand of stand up comedy across the Chicagoland area. Janice uses her experience as being the whitest Latina she knows and an at best average marriage partner to tell her side of the story. Janice aims to bring a fresh perspective to topics related to her culture, Indiana upbringing, and her professional and personal lives. She’s also really tired.

Janice regularly performs at Chicago area comedy and storytelling showcases and has performed at comedy clubs across the Midwest and USA including Zanies, Improv, The Drop (South Bend), Laugh Factory, Comedy Vault, Comedy Bar (Dubuque), LOL Comedy Club (San Antonio) Comedy Shrine, The Market Lounge, The El Paso Comic Strip, and Jackie Knights (St. Augustine, FL). She has also been invited to perform at several comedy festivals such as Chicago Women’s Funny Festival, SheDot (Toronto), Lady Laughs (Madison) and LaughFest (Grand Rapids).

Janice is a founder and producer of Las Locas Comedy, a comedy showcase that features Latina/Latinx comedic talent and our favorite locas of any background. She’s also the Executive Director of the Latina Comedy Festival and cohost and co-producer of the Defending Indiana podcast, now entering its 4th season. Check out her performance calendar to see her at an upcoming show!
