A Strange Loop at Raven Theatre

Book, music, and lyrics by Michael R. Jackson, directed by Mikael Burke, in a co-production between About Face Theatre and Raven Theatre. The story follows Usher, a Black, queer playwright who works as a Broadway usher by day while struggling to write an original musical about a Black, queer playwright who works as a Broadway usher. The musical explores identity, race and sexuality through the lens of a young artist wrestling with a chorus of his own demons and inner voices. The cast includes Eddie Weaver, Micah Mixon, Matheus Barbee, Christopher Wayland, Michael Turrentine, John-Payne, and Naphtali Curry.
