NTC Region 5 Competition Held at Mecklenburg County Courthouse 2/18-20

The NTC Region 5 competition will be held at the Mecklenburg County Courthouse. Witnesses will be provided with the witness statements from the problem prior to the competition dates. Each team will be allowed 15 minutes to confer with its witnesses immediately before commencement of a trial. Each round (or trial) usually lasts approximately 3 hours. We will ask witnesses to be at the courthouse 30 minutes prior to the beginning of each round for which they are scheduled.

1st Round - Friday, February 18, 2011, 6:00 p.m.
2nd Round - Saturday, February 19, 2011, 9:30 a.m.
3rd Round - Saturday, February, 19, 2011, 3:00 p.m.
Semi-Final Round - Sunday, February 20, 2011, 9:30 a.m.
Final Round - Sunday, February 20, 2011, 2:00 p.m.

This year's competition problem is a Homicide case. There are two witnesses for the defense and two witnesses for the prosecution. I will email witness parts once we have determined the numbers and the needs. If someone has a strong preference, they may state so when they contact me.
