Summer Mix is an accessible program of dance by Daniel Gwirtzman Dance Company that combines repertory favorites with a new premiere. The program includes excerpts from the company's evening-length theatrical dance Encore, which premiered at New York City's Joyce SoHo in 2007. Also featured is the new work Flashpoint, developed during a residency at the American Dance Festival in Durham, NC in 2024, which explores the contours of relationships and the push and pull of harmony and strife. Each performance will be followed by a brief conversation with the company, offering audiences the opportunity to engage directly with the dancers and choreographer.
