Eileen Barnett: Back Again...For The Very First Time! at The Laurie Beechman Theatre

After gifting us with memorable performances on Broadway, in regional theater, on television, and in concert halls across the country, actress and singer Eileen Barnett returns to New York for Back Again...For the Very First Time!, a joyful evening of music, stories, and reflection at the Laurie Beechman Theatre on Tuesday, October 6, at 7:00 p.m.

Fresh from recent appearances on the hit television series Hacks and Matlock, and a new show with Elizabeth Banks and Ted Danson, Barnett invites audiences into an evening that celebrates not only a remarkable career, but the unexpected turns, surprising opportunities, and enduring love of performing that continue to shape her life.

The program features songs by Stephen Sondheim, Randy Newman, William Finn, Ahrens & Flaherty, Lerner & Loewe, Rodgers and Hart, and others whose music has accompanied Barnett throughout her artistic journey. Woven throughout are personal stories, creating an intimate portrait of an artist whose passion for storytelling is vibrant as ever.

Barnett earned her Equity card while still in high school in Chicago, attended college in Iowa, and moved to New York. Her Broadway credits include Stephen Sondheim's Company and Tommy Tune's Tony Award-winning production of Nine, when she played Luisa Contini. After moving to Hollywood, she continued to build a distinguished career, appearing in dozens of theatrical productions while also becoming a familiar face on television, with credits including Hacks, Matlock, Criminal Minds, ER, Gilmore Girls, S.W.A.T. and many other shows.

Barnett says the show is also something of a birthday present to herself—a celebration of the people, music, and moments that have defined an extraordinary life in show business.
