Sounds For The Silent Cabaret To Include Live American Sign Language Interpretation

When Broadway's Libby Servais, Terance Reddick and an all star ensemble of singers take the stage at The Green Room 42 on Sunday afternoon at 2pm, their performances will be accompanied by live professional American Sign Language interpretation.

SOUNDS FOR THE SILENT, a cabaret designed to benefit the National Association for the Deaf, will feature Beth Applebaum and Craig Fogel providing live ASL during the performances. Ms. Applebaum is a deaf artist who in addition to her acting credits (recently off-Broadway at Playwrights Horizons) has also interpreted shows and cabarets, notably for Shaina Taub at Joe's Pub. Fogel is a nationally certified interpreter for the deaf whose credits include TWELFTH NIGHT with the New York Deaf Theatre on NYC's celebrated Shakespeare in the Park stage.

"I am incredibly excited to have Beth and Craig as a part of our wonderful cast. I think adding ASL to all of the musical numbers will add something special to our event," said Eleanor Koski, the 13 year old organizer of the cabaret and a Broadway alum.

Libby Servais, seen recently floating in a bubble as a "Glinda" in WICKED on Broadway headlines the all star cabaret cast set to perform Sunday. SOUNDS FOR THE SILENT will feature a mix of adult and child performers, many with Broadway and national tour credits:

Terance Reddick (LES MISERABLES)

Patty Lohr (KINKY BOOTS)

Diego Lucano (SCHOOL OF ROCK)

Josh Turchin (A CHRISTMAS STORY)

Ashley Wieronski McCormack (ANNIE)

Gianna Harris (SCHOOL OF ROCK)

Carly Gendell (SCHOOL OF ROCK)

Eli Tokash (FINDING NEVERLAND)

Ella Dane Morgan (WAITRESS)

Additional performers with regional credits include Nicole Corris, Brittany Baratz, Lexi Carter, Caleb Albert, and Johanna Telander, the writer/composer of a new work in development: KALEVALA THE MUSICAL. The cabaret will be hosted by Sam Chuck (LES MISERABLES) and Sophie Koski who was seen recently in HBO's RANDOM ACTS OF FLYNESS. Accomplished concert pianist Adrian Ries provides the accompaniment. Eleanor Koski was Little Cosette in Broadway's most recent revival of LES MIS and has a recurring role as Liv in GOD FRIENDED ME on CBS television.
