Kristina Koller to Present COLE PORTER REVISITED at Chelsea Table + Stage in January

CHELSEA TABLE + STAGE will present jazz vocalist Kristina Koller - performing her concert "Cole Porter Revisited" - on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at 7:00 PM. Koller's bold and contemporary musical arrangements mix R&B, neo-soul, traditional swing, and acoustic jazz sounds. Songs ranging from Porter's well-known compositions such as "I've Got You Under My Skin" and "Just One of Those Things" to a repertoire of rarely recorded tunes. Tickets are $20-$30, in addition to a service charge and a two-item food and beverage minimum. CHELSEA TABLE + STAGE is located at 152 West 26th Street.

"Cole Porter Revisited" is based on Koller's recent Cole Porter album, Get Out of Town. According to All That Jazz, "Youthful, vibrant, and musically precocious, Koller favors humid and moody arrangements that are the sonic equivalent of chiaroscuro in the visual arts. Not yet thirty years old, Koller projects herself as a most accomplished artist, continuing to grow." DownBeat raved, "Wonderfully eclectic singer Kristina Koller unearths a new side of Cole Porter on Get Out of Town."

Kristina Koller, an evolving jazz-centric artist, has developed into a highly individual vocalist, songwriter, and arranger. She creates music that crosses generations, while still embracing the history and mood of traditional jazz. Kristina revamps classic material while retaining their essence, putting her own winning personality and fresh ideas into the music and lyrics that she interprets. Her diverse approach is exemplified on her first two albums, Perception and Stronger. In her debut album Perception, Koller breaks through the standard vocal jazz mold and delivers a compilation of deft originals and reimagined gems, selected with the thematic focus of love and relationships. On Stronger, she combines art rock with jazz and indie-pop in a selection of original music. Kristina studied at The Hartt School's Jackie McLean Institute of Jazz and completed her formal music education at The City College of New York. Kristina developed her musical voice in the NYC jazz scene, performing at venerable haunts such as Smalls, Smoke, Minton's, Mezzrow, and The Apollo Theater.
