Toronto Fashion Week Announces New Partnerships & Events For SS2019

Toronto Fashion Week®, in collaboration with RESET™, returns for a third season, Sept. 4-6. In addition to designer shows, Toronto Fashion Week will see returning programs such as Fashion Talks™ and new events to this season's schedule, including the launch of The Endings - a photography book by award-winning celebrity photographer Caitlin Cronenberg and production designer Jessica Ennis, and Best Dressed 2018 presented by Toronto Life and FASHION.
Each day kicks off with a live taping of the Fashion Talks™ podcast, produced in partnership with CAFA™. Host Donna Bishop (also the fashion columnist for CBC radioHere and Now), returns and will chat with some of the most recognizable faces in fashion, film, beauty and photography to share their stories in an intimate studio setting.
The opening night party of Toronto Fashion Week will serve as the launch of the highly-anticipated photography book: The Endings: Photographic Stories Of Love, Loss, Heartbreak, And Beginning Again by Caitlin Cronenberg and Jessica Ennis. The book features some of the most talented and relevant actresses of our time, including Julianne Moore, Imogen Poots, Mena Suvari, Alison Pill, Keira Knightley, Nina Dobrev, Tatiana Maslany, Malin Åkerman and more, in the throes of emotional transformation. The launch party will see various activations as imagined by Cronenberg and Ennis, encouraging guests to recreate some of the stories found within the book.Additional information about this season's event will continue to be announced. The Canadian Alliance of Film and Television Costume Arts and Design (CAFTCAD) is the only not-for-profit organization in Canada that exists to enhance the costume arts and design community working in or affiliated with the film and television industry. The organization provides training, networking and exposure opportunities for CAFTCAD members as well as help to promote the talent of costume professionals who work in film and television. Now in its 10th year, the member-held organization consists of over 100 active members, with this number steadily increasing. As well as hosting and organizing a number of smaller events and training opportunities throughout the year, the organization hosts "CAFTCAD Celebrates Costumes", a large-scale event for 300 invited guests in Toronto. The annual event takes place in September to coincide with the Toronto International Film Festival and includes a number of costume displays from recent productions, regularly with displays for films that are premiering during TIFF.
